Official Transcripts

Arrange for sealed, official bachelor’s degree transcripts to be sent to Curry College directly from the Institution.

Official electronic transcripts can be emailed directly from the institution to ccce@curry.edu

PSL applicants – An official transcript reflecting an earned master’s degree in an education-related discipline from an accredited university is required.

Financial Aid & Payment Options

Determine how you plan to pay for the program: If using Financial Aid, complete the FAFSA. It is in your best interest to complete the financial aid process as early as possible.

Deferred payment option is available to continuing education students who are pursuing a degree program and can demonstrate that they have a tuition reimbursement benefit through their employer. Students who qualify may pay their tuition at the end of each course, rather than upon registration. Graduate students may be eligible for a payment plan.

Personal Statement

  • Elementary Education or Special Education: A 500-word personal statement that describes your interest in becoming a teacher, what strengths you will bring to the M.Ed. program, and what you are most looking forward to learning about in education.
  • DEI: A 500-word personal statement on your vision and contributions to diverse, equitable, and inclusive work in the fields.
  • PSL: Personal statement of your interest in school leadership and your vision for growing a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture in education

Letter of Recommendation

One letter of recommendation from either an individual who has supervised you in a paid or volunteer work setting or who is in a position to evaluate your potential for graduate education.

MTEL Scores (Elementary and Special Education Applicants Only)

  1. A copy of your passing scores on the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Communication and Literacy Skills Test. MTELs may be submitted after program begins.
  2. Demonstrated ability to pass the MTEL General Curriculum subtests. A passing score on the subtests are not required to apply to the M.Ed. program; however, you will need to pass these tests prior to your student teaching practicum.

Interview

An interview with the Graduate Director may be required upon submission of all application materials.

Evidence of DESE SEI Endorsement (PSL Applicants Only)

Completion of the Curry College SEI course will be required if endorsement has not been completed by the start of the first semester. Please send a screenshot of your SEI Endorsement from your ELAR Profile.

Copy of Teaching License (PSL Applicants Only)

Copy of current Massachusetts Initial or Professional license appropriate for licensure sought. Please send a screenshot of your teaching license from your ELAR Profile.
