At the district level, they determine the language arts curriculum for the K-12 schools in the district. They analyze reading data to assess strengths, challenges, and next steps. They collaborate with reading specialists around the school districts to ensure that best practices are being implemented in every school. They ensure that equity of resources is present across the schools. They provide ongoing literacy modules and coaching for teachers across the district to stay current in literacy education<\/a>.<\/p>\n

School districts rely on reading specialists and their expertise in the field of literacy to increase growth and student achievement at every single school. The specialists in reading specialist jobs are in the schools each day to see what the students and teachers need in teaching reading.
